Kent Blaxill in Market Harborough supports Bringhurst Primary School with a new playground mural

The managers at Kent Blaxill Market Harborough, the decorating centre on the Welland Business Park, have been instrumental in getting a long awaited project off the ground. The PTA at Bringhurst Primary School near Great Easton wanted to decorate a mural on a large brick wall on the side of one of the classrooms to liven up and add colour to the entrance of the school and the playground. Kent Blaxill kindly provided eight different colours of masonry paint, paintbrushes and varnish spray to the tune of nearly £300 as part of their community support programme.

Children from the school entered a competition to decorate some bird boxes which would be displayed on the large tree mural. 13 superb designs, from a Jackson Pollock style to a Monsters Inc bird box were chosen and painted and varnished on to seven wooden bird boxes.

Designed and led by PTA Chair Ivana Knauer and a group of six volunteer parents, the result is a stunning tree mural with seven painted bird boxes attached to the wall. Bringhurst School thanks Kent Blaxill in Market Harborough for its support, enthusiasm for the project and the beautiful paint colours. The response from the children at school and parents has been overwhelming; with everyone whole heartedly agreeing the mural has made a big difference in livening up the playground and entrance to the school.
