We have a brick library at our Colchester branch. Our brick library is overseen by experienced salesmen with over 32 years' specialist experience.

Our brick stock range is tailored to meet the needs of our customers and the requirements of local planning authorities.

We feature over 800 brick sample panels in our Colchester Brick Library. These provide a valuable reference not only for brick matching, but to help you select just the right brick for new build projects.

Sample panels are available either immediately from our stock or within just a few days of ordering.

Free brick matching service
We offer a free brick matching service within our delivery areas. All we initially require is an email with a couple of images of the brick to be matched.

  • Please email us one close up image showing six bricks, then a second image showing 20 bricks to allow us to see the colour variations, texture and size.
  • Finally, tell us the approximate age of the building and the address to visit if necessary.
  • An alternative brick will be offered if yours is discontinued or is not currently available.
  • The final decision will rest with you after a sample board has been approved.

The Kent Blaxill 'solus' brick
One of our most recent achievements was to create and import our own 'solus' brick. The first was the Kiln Blended Stock and the second was the Kelvedon Blend. Both have proved popular for local matching both for new and weathered bricks as a typical 'Essex Red' Stock.

Our brick library also offers:

  • Brick special shapes (a large stock of popular shapes held)
  • Cut and bonded and refaced bricks, also brick arches (usually available within 7-10 days)
  • Brick slips for cladding (some available ex. stock)

  • False chimney stacks.
