The much loved ‘feature’ wall has resulted in Kent Blaxill offering a wider than ever range of striking designer wallpapers from names such as Cole & Son and Romo.
Digital prints are becoming ever more popular and give a whole new dimension to the feature wall where the investment can really create a superb and stunning end result.
Interiors Co-ordinator Andrea Williams from Kent Blaxill believes that many home-owners have never hung wallpaper and see it as a bit of a challenge and can be put off. For this reason, wallpaper companies have introduced the new ‘paste the wall’ wallpapers, alleviating the need for unnecessary equipment such as wallpasting tables.
Vintage and Retro
Interiors often follow fashion trends and we are seeing the resurgence in the vintage and retro look. Sanderson launched 2 collections last season, one featuring archive material and the other ‘Dandelion Clocks’ that proved to be very popular.
Sanderson’s new collection for this season showcases new artists taking inspiration from original 1950’s designs. Textured papers such as the ‘grasscloth’ look have made a comeback after being very popular in the 70s. Small print papers are more widely sought after for those who have had the feature wall for a while and who are now are progressing onto wallpaper on all walls.
