This collection of papers is drawn from original 1950s designs found in the extensive wallpaper archive at Manchester's Whitworth Art Gallery. The collection is named in honour of the wallpaper manufacturer who commissioned the original designers, John Line & Sons.
The 8 designs feature abstract linear and floral motifs, as well as geometric patterns that retain the narrative of the time, blending the postwar abrstract expression and modernist styles.This collection maintains Little Greene's ongoing resoration of forgotten wallpapers of the past.
