Emulsion paint, also known as paint emulsion or emulsion for short, is a water-based paint with vinyl or acrylic. This paint is often used for interior walls and ceilings due to its good coverage and high opacity. Due to their water-based formula, emulsion paints are fast drying and will make cleaning decorating tools much easier. Emulsion paints do not dry, crack or fade in the sunlight and have less of an odour.
