About Little Greene

Little Greene paint is committed to the socially and environmentally responsible production of high-quality paints and wallpapers. The company has a partnership with the National Trust and collaborates with the charity to uncover and recreate historic paint colours and formulas.

What really sets Little Greene apart from the competition is the depth of colour of its paints. The paint has especially high pigment levels - many of its products have 40% more pigments than ordinary paints.

The history of Little Greene paint dates all the way back to 1773 in one of England's oldest industrial sites for the production of paint in Manchester.  Proprietor Joshua Rowlands was an expert in manufacturing dyes and transferred this knowledge over to paint production. To this day, the company blends a mixture of old and new materials to set itself apart as a forward-thinking manufacturer with traditional roots.

Picking the perfect paint

If you're looking for paint that has unrivalled pigment and standout colours, Little Greene paint is the perfect choice.

You might be considering sustainability as a key factor in your decision, looking for eco-friendly options. We recommend Bedec paint because the company is one of the earliest pioneers of environmentally friendly water-based paint options.

For traditionalists who want to recreate times gone by and stick to historical colours with a story behind them, we recommend taking a look at Farrow & Ball paint.

For outdoor jobs, only the toughest paints will do. We recommend Tikkurila, which has been designed specifically to withstand extreme weather conditions and other outside factors.
