Purchase of Products

All goods offered.

You must be 18 years of age to purchase Products from Kent Blaxill and Co Ltd. Please read these Terms carefully prior to indicating your acceptance.

 

Sale of Goods

All Products are believed by Kent Blaxill and Co Ltd (the ‘Company’) to be of a quality suitable for the purpose and specification for which they are intended. Any defect should be reported to the Company immediately it is discovered. All technical information in response to an enquiry is given by the Company in good faith. It will ultimately be for you to satisfy yourself as to the suitability of the product having regard to your own particular situation and site conditions. The liability of the Company will not exceed the value of the Products supplied. In particular, loss of profits and consequential, financial and other such losses are excluded.

Any information, whether verbal or in writing of any kind (including on our website), is for guidance only and is given in good faith but without warranty, since skill of application and site conditions are beyond our control. In any event, we do not accept any liability whatsoever for the performance or non-performance of any goods beyond the value of those goods (for example, we shall not be liable in respect of wasted time or additional costs incurred by any person such as labour or scaffolding costs nor shall we be liable in respect of any alleged consequential losses of any person).

Whilst every effort is made to display as accurately as possible the colour of our goods, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the goods on delivery. If in doubt, you are advised to examine actual samples of the colour before placing your order.

Prices are subject to change without notice. All orders are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any order where there is a material error in the description of the goods or the advertised prices.

 

Health and Safety

The Company makes available in good faith information about its Products and with regard to the conditions necessary to ensure that Products supplied will be safe and without risk to health when used properly. Any information and advice given should not of itself be considered an adequate risk assessment as may be required under health and safety legislation. If you are not already in possession of information concerning the safe use of the Products or you become aware of any risk to health and safety, you should contact us.

 

Payment

Payment may be made by any of the means stated. Orders are accepted on the condition that Products will be supplied at the price ruling on despatch. The Company uses Opayo encryption technology to scramble sensitive data and provide maximum security over the internet.

 

Delivery for Website Orders

We advise not to book decorators until you have received your products. Our delivery timescales are to give an indication only and Kent Blaxill cannot be held responsible for any costs that you may incur if the products have not arrived before your decorator is due to start work.

 

UK Mainland

Delivery for website orders throughout the United Kingdom, for standard products is usually within five working days*. If all the items on your order are in stock, we will aim to dispatch your order the next working day. *The first working day is the day after your order has been placed. This excludes weekends and bank holidays.

​We will only dispatch orders when all items are in stock as a complete consignment. We will not split an order and send separately unless you agree to pay the additional carriage incurred by sending multiple deliveries. This does not include products that are dispatched directly from one of our distributors.

We would always advise to ensure that you have the paint or wallpaper delivered before you arrange for decorators to commence work on your project. To check availability of stock and likely delivery timescales please call 01206 216017 during the hours of 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Wallpapers (except lining papers) are not held in stock by any branch and so will all be ‘to order’, expected delivery times vary by supplier.We will contact you after placing your order to confirm an expected delivery date. 

Delivery will normally be by post or courier and will occur between 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. If delivery of the product is made to a building or construction site we will only be obliged to deliver to the nearest safe location to the site. Once we have delivered the products then you are responsible for their insurance and security.

*Costs are applicable to Retail Customers only. Delivery is free of charge for our Trade Customers that hold a trade cash card or credit account.

Important

We do everything we can to meet the delivery times specified, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay.

Orders placed on a Friday after 2pm through to Monday before 2pm will be expected to arrive on Tuesday.

We strongly advise you not to book any contractors until you have received all your items in perfect condition, we cannot accept liability for work started under these conditions.

 

Returns

Any customer wishing to exercise this right must notify Kent Blaxill by email to orders@kentblaxill.co.uk within 14 working days of receiving delivery. Once we have received your email we will contact you to arrange for our selected courier to collect your item(s).

Customers shall be entitled to a full refund minus the costs for the courier to collect and return the item(s) to us. You will be advised of this cost when your returns collection is booked as this is calculated on the weight of the items to be returned. We will then email you a returns label which you will need to print out and apply to the top of the packaging box you will be returning the item(s) in.

We advise all customers to keep hold of all the original packaging that your item(s) arrived in. All orders we dispatch are carefully packaged to ensure that no damage occurs to the actual products when being handled, sorted and delivered you to. If you wish to return your items then please use the original packaging materials to re-package your item(s) to ensure that they arrive back to us undamaged so that they can be resold. Failure to use the original packaging to ensure the item(s) are packaged safely will lead to damage in transit and Kent Blaxill will reserve the right to deduct a partial, or withhold the full amount of any refund that may have been due, to cover the cost of any damage where we feel that due care has not been taken by you the customer to ensure the item(s) are protected during its return transit.

*Mixed To Order paints cannot be cancelled once mixed and any goods made to customers’ specifications or clearly personalised are excluded from the right to cancel. Wallpaper, special colour matches and paints tinted by a mixing machine are bespoke products, manufactured specifically to order, and therefore are non-returnable.

Mixed Paint - We are unable to accept any returns for paint that has been mixed for the customer unless there is a genuine fault or defect with the product. This is due to the fact that we will be unable to sell that product again as that colour is specific to the customer that ordered it. Please ensure you have selected the correct colour, finish and quantity before ordering and if you are unsure, we would encourage you to request a Free Colour Chart or purchase a Sample Pot where available.

Colour Accuracy - Although we endeavour to make our screen images as accurate as possible, colours on screen are for reference only and are an approximation of the true colour and should therefore not be regarded as absolutely correct. Do not rely on screen representation for colour accuracy as the resolution on computer monitors can differ depending on the make and model and the settings of the output device used to display this page will also affect the visible colour. Paint colours can also vary according to adjacent room colours and lighting conditions. We would always encourage you to request a Free Colour Chart or purchase a Sample Pot where available, before committing to purchasing a larger tin size.

Damaged/Lost Goods – Where goods are delivered to or received by the customer damaged or there is a shortfall, the Company must be notified within three working days in order for replacement goods to be sent free of charge. No such claim will be accepted outside of this time limit. Any such replacement is subject to the provision by you of such proof of damage or shortfall as we may reasonably require.​

Wallpaper - In the event of a fault, please send a sample of the product to us with the label – it should not be necessary to return all of the faulty product. Please do note that you should check all wallpaper products for faults before hanging. If the product is defective in any way or has a fault, replacement or refund will be made at no charge.

 

General

These terms and conditions and any claims arising in relation to goods ordered or supplied shall in all respects be governed by English Law and any dispute arising under or in connection with the foregoing shall be for the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

The foregoing exclusions and limitations do not affect (and are subject to) those of your statutory rights as a consumer, which cannot be excluded by law. For example, liability for fraud or injury/damage caused by our negligence cannot be excluded

Monthly Prize Draw 2021

  1. No purchase necessary.
  2. Offer open to UK residents aged 18 years and over except employees of Kent Blaxill & Co Ltd, associated companies and staff at participating outlets and their families.
  3. Promotion starts January 2021 and ends December 2021. There are 12 prize draws, each draw closes on the 28th of each month, winners will be notified by email.
  4. Prizes will be shown www.kentblaxill.co.uk/calendardraw at the start of each month.
  5. There is no cash alternative.
